This year's ranking of top rotomolders includes 106 companies with $3.08 billion in combined sales. That's down 1.5 percent over last year's ranking.

We've updated our annual pipe, profile and tubing extruders ranking of 189 North America plastic processors for the 2023 fiscal year end with sales totaling $32 billion.

<p>The trend line is clear from this year’s thermoforming data: Packaging thermoforming was heading into a trough while industrial thermoforming was bouncing back.</p>

<p>The average sales per mold making company went up 3 percent in 2022 vs. 2021. This continues a trend we started tracking back in 2001.</p>

Packaging sales are 100 percent responsible for a $1.5 billion increase in sales because industrial thermoforming sales totals for the ranking were flat year over year.

Looking at the largest firms on our list, the top 25, we see a 15 percent jump in fiscal 2021. That is second only to the 18 percent jump we saw back in 2011. In fact, the total reported thermoforming sales this year is nearly triple that of 20 years ago.

Now is the time to upgrade and take advantage of real-time changes from our news sources and our regular contact with processors.

This week marks a sure sign that the calendar year is coming to an end. And I’m not talking about the return of Christmas music to your local radio station.
