Gov. Brad Little is reinforcing his support of border security with Executive Order 2025-03, also known as the Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Act.

Superintendent of Public Instruction Debbie Critchfield said she would like to see some changes this session when it comes to student funding.

The Phone Free Learning Act encourages school districts to develop a policy by the end of the year and offers a $5,000 award. 

Several vital stakeholders, including the Idaho Water Resource Board and the Idaho Department of Water Resources Board, were at the Capitol on Monday for the natural resources interim committee meeting.

So far, the state has 180 human-caused fires and 112 lightning-caused fires, for a total of 292 fires. The total acres burned are 48,336.  

Idaho is one of the fastest-growing states, which has also led to increased demand for water. 

The Land Board of Commissioners held its monthly meeting to focus on the monthly fire report.

The Gwen Fire is near 100% containment while the Texas Fire is completely contained.

The program combines educators from all corners of the state with a support system to help with retention rates.
