Gator Great Christian Taylor wrapped a bow on his memorable career as a Florida Gator and US Olympian athlete at the Holloway Pro Classic.

Kistler’s solo home run and Rothrock’s performance pushed the No. 4-seeded Florida Gators (52-13) to shut out the No. 5-seeded Oklahoma State Cowgirls (49-11) 1-0 in the WCWS opener at Devon Park.

Due to poor weather conditions, the Gators softball quarterfinals matchup against the No. 7-seed Georgia was postponed to Friday morning. After an hour and a half delay, both teams endured a seven inning battle. 

 The freshman’s performance helped lead the Gators (45-12, 19-7 SEC) to a 7-3 victory over the Aggies (40-13) in Auburn, Alabama, and secured their championship spot in the SEC Tournament. 

Erickson’s double led the Gators (43-12, 18-7 SEC) to record back-to-back walk-off wins and sweep Texas A&M (39-12, 15-9 SEC) 11-3 at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium Sunday. 

Despite the Gators leading 8-3 after the fourth inning, the Aggies offense responded and brought the game to an 8-8 tie. Leavitt kept the Gators scoreless and allowed just three hits until Florida bounced back in extra innings to deliver a thrilling finish.
