Recent episodes of “Along the Road,” a podcast series by Mid Council Ministries in the Office of the General Assembly (OGA), look at the constant of change in church life, including two “Nourish” episodes focusing on education and leadership by ruling elders and deacons and an “Encounter” episode about challenges facing transitioning congregations.

Providing for the financial future of church groups is the focus of two recent “Along the Road” podcasts. Both “Encounter” and “Nourish” episodes feature Presbyterian Foundation leaders sharing insights on responsible investing at all levels of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

As church groups look to help refugees and asylees, ministry that received direct encouragement from last summer’s General Assembly, one Louisville congregation continues to stand out as possible model and inspiration.

Advocating for just immigration policies on Capitol Hill

This is the last week of the old Church Leadership Connection (CLC) system, following a summer-long transition of the online placement system to a new one. According to the Rev. Manuel Silva-Esterrich, manager of Call Process Support in the Office of the General Assembly, on Sept. 1 all access to the old system will shut down. From that date forward, “only CLC administrators will be able to access the old system.”
