Sunday is another hot and humid day across the Tennessee Valley under mainly sunny skies. High temperatures warm into the low to middle 90s with the afternoon heat index hovering around 100 degrees. Spotty to widely scattered downpours and storms are going to develop as early as 11AM and continue through sunset Sunday.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for all North Alabama and Middle Tennessee counties through 7:00 PM CDT Wednesday. Heat safety and hydration are very important over the next few days! Today brings plenty of sunshine through the morning and afternoon allowing our temperatures to quickly rise into the upper 90s.

Skies remain mostly cloudy to overcast for the morning and early afternoon, highs today reach the low to middle 80s with a steady southwest breeze gusting up to 20 miles per hour. The clusters of heavy rain and storms will track eastward across the Tennessee Valley from late morning into the early evening. These storms can be stronger in nature with the potential of producing 40+ mph wind gusts, small hail, frequent lightning and locally heavy rainfall.

A mix of sun and clouds is expected for the morning hours and temperatures warm into the lower to middle 80s. We are watching for a complex of storms to develop to our northwest and continue to track eastward into the Tennessee Valley. Storms start off isolated over parts of NW Alabama by late morning and will become more scattered to numerous in nature through the afternoon.

Today is another sunny and warm day across the Tennessee Valley as high temperatures climb into the upper 80s. Winds are looking a bit more breezy from the southeast with occasional gusts over 15 miles per hour. Skies remain clear overnight and some patchy fog is expected by daybreak Wednesday, lows fall into the upper 60s to lower 70s.
