ST. PETERSBURG — A St. Petersburg police officer was conducting a traffic stop early Saturday morning when another vehicle hit his car and fled. About 1 a.m., the officer had emergency lights activated on I-375 and was exiting his police vehicle when a white Kia sedan hit it, causing minor injury to the officer.
