The plan also includes affordable housing and retail options.

The closure is expected to add approximately 25 minutes to commutes, as drivers will need to detour via US 11, Interstate 10, and LA 433.

This development has been a welcome step forward for small business owners, locals, and tourists now that part of the fencing that surrounded this busy intersection has now come down.

It happened on Highway 643 near Mimosa Street on Sunday afternoon.

The Jamaican Creole fusion restaurant, Afrodisiac Nola, is bringing its dishes to this year's Jazz Fest.

This year's Jazz Fest poster is nearly sold out. The remaining posters are expected to sell out before the end of the weekend, and organizers encourage people to purchase the poster sooner rather than later.
