Satellite imagery shows that the loud boom heard and felt Tuesday morning, March 17, was a small asteroid entering earth’s atmosphere right near the western edge of Cuyahoga County!

Overnight, skies are cloudy still but winds are backing off. It will still be breezy but not as gusty. Temperatures are falling closer to seasonable, on either side of 30 degrees.

A colder day today. Temperatures will be around 30° with wind chills in the upper teens.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for parts of northeast Ohio through 1 a.m. on Saturday. In addition, a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect through noon on Saturday.

The start of the workweek was ‘warmer’, but still cold.

Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies Thursday evening, with gradually tapering snow as the wind shifts out of the south. The winds will gradually decrease as well.
