Hillsborough plans to file an injunction to shut down the charter school over safety violations.

After a state inquiry, the school board voted to close Walton Academy for Performing Arts, which serves 118 students.

Walton Academy for the Performing Arts received a letter saying the superintendent intended to pull its charter immediately.

The school district closed investigations into teachers and staffers with one verbal reprimand and a few written notices.
