Budget deficit becomes hot topic in District A runoff between Aimee McCarron and Holly Friedman.

"Considering such an incredible past, it is now time to focus on the future of our congregation," Pastor Frank Luter said in a heartfelt speech on Sunday.

"We did feel that anxiety for our attendees because we didn't know what could happen."

What started as a video for a quick laugh has turned into millions of views for a young New Orleans content creator and thousands of signatures for a neighborhood cause.

Infrastructure, city services, jobs and development are the top issues in the New Orleans City Council District A race.

"There's this hope that this might bring businesses back, but heavy industry is not the same as grocery stores and pharmacies and small privately-owned businesses," one resident said.
