<p>New car and light-truck deliveries rose 9.2 percent to 1.3 million in February from a year earlier, with the daily selling rate rising to 50,000 from 42,400 in January, GlobalData said in a preliminary report.</p>

<p>Retail sales totaled 1.15 million last month, GlobalData estimated, and fleet deliveries tallied 292,000, or 20.3 percent of the overall market. The SAAR tallied 15.41 million.</p>

<p>Industry sales slipped 3.9 percent to 1.32 million last month compared with April 2023, GlobalData said in a preliminary report, with retail sales totaling 1.09 million and fleet volume of 229,000.</p>

U.S. light-vehicle sales slipped 3.9 percent to 1.32 million last month compared with April 2023; Toyota led among the brands.

<p>The Camry, reengineered for 2025, is w only available with a hybrid powertrain, a key advantage as the consumer march to EVs slows.</p>

The seasonally adjusted, annualized rate of sales for June, negatively impacted by the CDK outage, tallied 15.3 million, analysts estimated, down sharply from a 2024 high of 16.08 million in May, and 16.22 million in June 2023.

The midsize A6 E-tron will become Audi's second model on the company's Premium Platform Electric architecture and assumes the A6 name as part of the brand's revised naming convention.

Analysts expected the U.S. light-vehicle market to rise 1 to 3 percent in July, but among automakers that reported results sales rose only 0.5 percent. 

U.S. auto sales are projected to rise 7 to 8 percent last month, analysts estimated, with average transaction prices falling as inventory rises and incentives increase.

U.S. new-vehicle sales were expected to drop in September and the third quarter, with analysts anticipating volatility the rest of the year as affordability remains a challenge and the U.S. presidential election looms.
