We’re four weeks into the 2026 football season and we’re starting to get an idea of who might emerge as postseason contenders in the Greater Spokane League. Of course, the 4As haven’t played a league game yet, and the six 3A teams have played a combined four league contests.

The word “dynasty” is thrown around a lot in sports. It’s used primarily to generate clicks or start debate among competing teams in the big leagues.

Three Everett hitters slugged home runs and the Spokane Indians fell to the AquaSox 6-4 in the fifth of a six-game High-A Northwest League series at Avista Stadium on Saturday. 

Seth Harrison figured some day he would get into coaching. He didn’t expect “some day” to come as quickly as it did, or at a point when he might have needed it the most.

Former Gonzaga and Spokane Indians pitcher Gabriel Hughes was called up to make his MLB debut by the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday. Hughes will be the 33rd Gonzaga alum to appear in the majors.
