Officers alleged the suspect financially profited and “exercised control” over the life of a woman who was being exploited in “sex trade” for over a year.
Toronto police announced the arrests on Wednesday morning during a livestreamed press conference as part of Project Warden, an investigation aimed at locating and arresting people responsible for trafficking stolen vehicles.
Two people have been arrested. The police horse and an officer in a vehicle that was rammed are being assessed for injuries. Queen Street West is closed between Peter and John streets.
Patrons’ personal information, such as email addresses, may have been affected when the AGO’s servers were accessed between Sept. 9 and 18. Files saved over the past 12 months at the gallery were affected.
Toronto police were called to the area of Eglinton Avenue West and Times Road for a shooting just before 6:20 a.m. on Sept. 1. Triston McNally, 37, of Brampton, was rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds, but later died.
