Winners of ARCHITECT’s second annual competition honoring outstanding projects
in architecture and interior design will be featured in the January/February
2023 issue. Final entries close on Oct. 14, 2022.
Regenerative land artist and 2022 Harvard GSD Loeb fellow Jordan Weber
collaborated with the community to create a space for food sovereignty and
pollution mitigation. In the wake of COVID-19 and the policing killing of George
Floyd, it also became a place of healing and self-resilience.
When architects and artists join forces, especially by collaborating early in a
project’s process, it can have meaningful impacts on the surrounding community,
as well as the design and designers themselves.
The new Skidmore, Owings & Merrill leadership includes four partners and eight
principals in the global firm’s Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Washington,
D.C, Los Angeles, London, and Hong Kong studios.
