As a cold front passes through tonight, we will see some potential for strong to severe storms across the Northland. Damaging winds and large hail will be possible.
We have issued a First Alert Day due to the threat of possible flooding overnight tonight. We could see rainfall totals exceed 2-3" in some spots over the early morning hours of tomorrow through 10 a.m.
A dry weekend is expected but following that we are tracking storms that could impact the Northland over the course of next week. In addition to the storms, temperatures and humidity will also be on the rise.
We have thunderstorms over the region that will diminish overnight, leaving things a bit more dry by Friday and Saturday. Next week we will see heat, humidity and storms move back into the Northland.
Chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms increase on Friday, but things will dry out for the weekend. Later in the week rain chances will begin to return.
Showers will begin to move out of Minnesota this afternoon and remaining in northern Wisconsin for the rest of the evening. Things will begin to dry out tomorrow, with some rain chances returning Friday.
