Spring Clean-Up at Prowly: Introducing New Color of the Menu

Prowly’s preparing for quite a lot of changes that will be introduced soon. We are about to change the theme color in the app and simplify the navigation to ensure a better user experience for certain functionalities. The developments will cover not only the look and feel of our application, but also the module for creating mailings and stories and the media contacts database view.

1. Lady in white… a few words on the background color

Changing the menu color to white is part of a project aimed to streamline navigation through the app. We were able to improve the ergonomics significantly and increase the accessibility and visibility of new and future functionalities. Changing the color also allowed us to lower contrast and achieve interface balance. We hope that, in consequence, your eyes will be less tired after long hours of working with our tool.

2. More working space: show/hide menu

Prowly’s menu consists of two vertical bars allowing the user to navigate through functions. The user can hide the so-called submenu so as to extend the working space on the screen and take the elements that are not used at a given moment off the screen. This may prove practical especially when you’re working on a small screen. You can pull back the submenu bar at any time to see all the available options.

3. Old options refreshed

We can see that some interesting functions available within the app are rarely visited by Prowly users. Sometimes this is because of the location of a certain function in the app. Some of them are so “hidden” that not many users can find them. This is why we decided to have some of them better displayed, like the option to view segment statistics.

4. Your Journals at your fingertips

If there’s only one pressroom in your account, just click on the icon to open the settings. Up until now, you’ve also had to pick from the list, which was a whole another step. With this change, we’ve improved the accessibility of one of the most frequently used functionalities in the app. If you have more than one pressroom, you can switch between them by going to Prowly’s welcome screen.

5. Most popular functions made faster and easier

Regardless of where in the app you go to, you will always be able to create a mailing or a story. How? By clicking on the plus icon, which will be visible at all times when you’re in the app in the bottom left corner of the screen.

6. Having several Prowly accounts? Manage them more effectively!

Some Prowly users are active in more than one account. In this case, the app will allow you to manage your account more effectively, e.g. by setting a default account, verifying your authorizations within the accounts (that is, the so-called “user roles”), or being able to see the account status (active/inactive).
If you have multiple Prowly accounts, you will now be able to manage your profiles more efficiently.

Some more modifications are about to follow, including changes in the way mailings are created and your media contacts databases are viewed. All these procedures are designed to improve your Prowly experience and some of them reflect the ideas/suggestions/remarks that we hear (and take note of) during our daily conversations with You.
